Höyrytys supplies 10 MW backup heat system during maintenance to district heating network in Espoo
Höyrytys and Fortum arranged 10 MW of backup heat production during scheduled maintenance of the district heating network in Espoo. The mobile backup energy system and operators supplied by Höyrytys produced district heat through a temporary backup connection point.
“The backup heat connection and production were delivered according to the plan drawn up in advance. Thanks to the service, heat production in the area could be ensured according to the goals for the duration of the maintenance work without any noticeable impact on the supply of heat to customers,” says Timo Nousiainen, Planning Manager for heating and cooling services at Fortum.
Höyrytys and Fortum have a long-term backup energy agreement, and Fortum has been supplied with a similar backup energy service also on previous occasions.
“From our point of view, the delivery went according to plan and safely. Communication and planning between our two companies were also very effective,” says Aarni Natunen, COO at Höyrytys.
